Malden Asian Disability Advocacy Coalition (MADAC) SINCE 2001

MADAC is a group of consumers, parents, community leaders and organizations working together to bring inclusion for all people with disability in the Malden area. It strives to build bridge between the growing Asian populations from diverse background and the traditional and established communities in Malden. It aims to act as an agent of change through mutual assistance for the Asians and Asian Americans north of Boston; and assists its members in planning, outreach, cultural competent training and capacity building to address the needs of the unserved and underserved populations.

The project was spearheaded by the late Malden Disability Issues Commission Chair, Stan Kaszanek and other groups that included the Malden Redevelopment Authority and the Institute for Community Inclusion at UMass Boston.
